Mykel Larrin and Ben Wallace Shred the Safehouse
By Leigh Ramsdell, Mongoose Sports Marketing Manager
It started with a DM… actually it started with planned trip to Texas for the 3rd stop of the USA BMX Freestyle series – but for the sake of this story let’s say it started with a DM from Cody Hennings. Cody is a local rider in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who also happens to own a private indoor ramp-filled warehouse called the Safehouse. During our back-and-forth I quickly took him up on his offer to check out Safehouse, and team Mongoose headlined by Mykel Larrin and Ben Wallace spent a full day riding this BMX utopia!
Safehouse was a nice change from the concrete parks that we have been riding. It was all wood with features reminiscent of earlier parks with hitching posts and unique lines throughout the small but packed space. Both Ben and Mykel took to the park quickly and proceeded to put their own stamp on the Safehouse.
Thankfully Kyle Carlson was on hand to shoot some photos, and Dan Foley was rolling camera for a video edit. Now check out the video and photos below....get stoked... build a private warehouse...and invite the Mongoose team to it!
A huge thanks to Cody for having this vision and more importantly making it happen!
