Mongoose Mountain Bikes 2023 Year in Review

Here we are at the end of 2023 and it’s been great to look back on some of the cool things that happened with Mongoose the mountain bike side of the brand.

We started off the year with some Fat Tire bike-related articles including one by YouTube channel Scott’s Garage, who did a side-by-side review of the Mongoose Argus Sport and Argus Trail. After that we interviewed our lead technician Ben Stites for a blog entitled A Hitchhikers Guide to Fat Bikes, where he talked all things…you guessed it, fat tire bikes.

In the Spring, Mongoose ambassador Dwayne Taylor traveled to Monterey, CA, to the Sea Otter Classic to set up a pit space to showcase some of our favorite mountain bikes and house the LRC/Mongoose race team for the dual-slalom event. Mongoose pro Greg Watts was also in attendance to check out all the action at this legendary event.

Speaking of Greg Watts and the mountain bike team, Greg was all over the place building some amazing new trails, like Sensus Trails and Waranerosa Trails in Murphys, CA. Greg was also one of the judges at the prestigious Red Bull Rampage event this past fall. Josh Hult was busy hitting his local trails in Idaho, while sneaking in some Nitro Circus shows on his DJ bike. Brayden Barrett-Hay continued to hold it down for the brand in Canada posting some of his incredible combo variations on his channels – one video involving a bear got over 4 million views in 2023!

It’s been a minute since our mountain bike pros had gotten together for a Mongoose team trip, so we knew something had to be done. After learning about a new build Greg Watts had a hand in at Waranerosa Bike Park, we decided dto bring out the team to sample this Backyard Paradise. Built on owner Dustin Waraner’s property, not only can you rent a place to stay and shred the trails, but you can also swim in the pool, climb the rock wall, or play in the arcade. Safe to say that we all wish this was our backyard!

In typical Mongoose fashion, let’s finish off this 2023 MTB recap with a non-traditional video, BMXers on Big Bikes. While Mongoose was in Arkansas for Bike Fest Bentonville, our BMX pros decided hit some of the local trails on MTBs! Re=watch Mongoose pros Kevin Peraza, Nikita Ducarroz, Matty Cranmer, and Brandon Hopkins send it on big bikes alongside team manager Leigh Ramsdell! When you see the video you can tell everyone is hooked on the mountain bikes!
