Mongoose BMX Team to Host Am Jam at Tucson’s Premises Park
Mongoose is bringing our professional BMX freestyle team to Premises Park in Tucson, AZ, on October 12th to host the second annual Mongoose Am Jam! The new event looks to build upon the success of the inaugural Mongoose Am Jam held at the infamous Source Park (Hastings, United Kingdom).
This unique event – which will feature American riders Pat Casey, Kevin Peraza and Nikita Ducarroz, and UK riders Greg Illingworth, Ben Wallace, and Cam Peake – will give local youth the chance to meet, ride with, and perform in front of the Mongoose team. In order to make the event accessible to all, the Mongoose Am Jam will also be free of charge to anyone wanting to participate!
Since 2012, Mongoose has hosted an annual Jam event at Camp Woodward in Pennsylvania. The traditional Jam events brought together the Mongoose team and their peers in BMX, for an authentic blend of camaraderie and competition. Focusing the event towards both pro and amateur riders this year will undoubtably enhance the atmosphere for both spectators and participants alike.
Premises Park will be the perfect location as it’s the home park for Mongoose pro, Kevin Peraza - “I’m looking forward to welcoming the Mongoose Am Jam to my local park. It’s events like these that help motivate the next generation of kids and establish the scene for years to come.”
The all-day Mongoose Am Jam will be split into a morning practice session – where young riders will get to meet and ride with the pros – and an afternoon amateur jam by age bracket with the chance to win awards and prizes. The event will finish off with a Pro demo from the Mongoose team.
